Program & Events

Living well with a dog involves a lot more than teaching them to sit.

Safe For Life takes a whole-dog approach to supporting dogs and the people who love them. We believe that understanding behavior, health, nutrition, enrichment and everyday needs helps create happier lives together.

That's why our programs and events go beyond traditional dog training. We'll explore everything from everyday manners and more challenging behavior to enrichment, nutrition, cooperative care, preparedness and the practical knowledge that comes with sharing life with a dog.

Some programs will help solve a problem happening today. Others will build skills and knowledge that may be needed tomorrow. And some are simply opportunities to get out, learn something new and have fun together.

Our group classes use positive reinforcement and Fear Free training methods and are intentionally offered at affordable community pricing.

Events: Something New Every Month

There’s always more to learn about the dogs who share our lives.

Each month, Safe For Life will focus on a different part of living well with dogs. Throughout the month, we'll explore that topic through education, hands-on activities, training, demonstrations, giveaways and community events.

Some activities will happen at our regular community engagements, while others may pop up throughout the month. Some will involve bringing a dog along, and others will simply be a chance to stop by, learn something useful and take something home to try.
